We had a blast on our first day at the beach. Ethan played in the sand, built sand castles (or attempted to at least) and fished in the ocean. There was an inlet just a little bit down the beach that we swam in every day. It was so relaxing to just wade in the water and play with seashells. E had a great time with Paw Paw in the inlet - they spent about 20 minutes just stacking seashells on each other's legs. So cute.

After lunch and nap time, we just played in the backyard and on the dock in the afternoon. We did this pretty much every afternoon. Lugging all of our stuff back to the beach was not happening and it was so hot, we tried to stay cool with water toys and the slip n slide.
Happy Father's Day! We had a wonderful cookout in honor of the wonderful fathers, my daddy and Chris. We had T-bone steaks, baked potatoes, green beans, bread and peanut butter pie for dessert. It was yumalish! After dinner every night, we loved taking a bike ride around the neighborhood and down to the beach a few times too. Ethan had a blast riding with Daddy, even though it wasn't quite the safest way to ride. These bikes were so old and rusty but it made it so much fun because it felt so beachy! I had to remind myself every time I got on the bike on exactly how to ride it again since it's been so long! The phrase "It's like riding a bicycle" did not apply to me!
We had such fabulous weather the entire week but this night was the one and only summer thunderstorm. It was gorgeous to watch from the back deck.
